Since Steph (krispybites) is leaving Vancouver forever/indefinitely, Janice (goodeat) and I decided to have a final gettogether at Finches Tea & Coffee House in downtown. Did you know 50/50 was filmed here?! Joseph Gordon Levitt stepped foot in here before! Gah! :D
For some reason, Finches gave me a really hipster vibe. Maybe it was the decor, the staff, and the expensive but well crafted sandwiches.
Their menu is written on chalkboard in very cursive writing so it was a bit hard to read. However, I did some research before I came so I had an idea of what I was going to get already. :P
Steph also ordered a Cheese Plate and it consisted of a pear, walnuts, grapes, brie, and crackers.
Janice ordered the Baked Blue Brie Baguette ($8.95) and it looked mighty delicious. I think Janice enjoyed it as it was a hearty and filling sandwich.
I got the Pear and Brie Baguette ($8.95) and it had pear, blue brie, proscuitto, and walnuts. The sandwich was wonderfully presented and you could tell they put a lot of time and effort into crafting each piece.
Based on these reasons:
- pricier but better quality baguette sandwich
- very hipster atmosphere
- check out the movie 50/50 and see Joseph Gorden Levitt order from Finches!

What's with both you and Janice saying "forever"?!? :'( I'm hoping it's not forever. But actually, the food in Edmonton is not bad... Just freaking expensive.
