Random Thought- Green Goodness and Amazing Mango

Last Saturday, Meta Knight and I decided to walk around English Bay before the fireworks to see what kind of cool things were going on during the day. As we were walking back to the skytrain station, we stopped by Save-On-Foods. We needed to get out of the scorching heat and into some good ol' AC.

To my surprise, smoothies from Bolthouse Farms were on sale for $2.99 a bottle! I know of this brand because I buy their 3 pack organic carrot juice from Costco and their juice always tastes freshly squeezed (love!). Since I couldn't decide between the Green Goodness and Amazing Mango, Meta Knight suggested we get both. :D

Can you ever resist mango? Just the picture of that mango makes me drool.. yummm...

One Amazing Mango smoothie consists of three apples, almost two oranges, half of a banana, and almost 2 mangoes. Two words: Very Sweet. I personally do not love anything that is overly sweet so this smoothie was a bit much for me. However, Meta Knight loved it, so if you love mango and have a sweet tooth, I think you'll like this one too. If I could have watered it down just a little bit, I would have loved this drink because the mango tasted soo good and fresh.

Green Goodness (I keep on wanting to say "green goddess"..haha) looks like it has veggies in it but it actually only contains fruit.

As you can see, one bottle contains half a kiwi, half a banana, one mango, one third of a pineapple, and almost two apples. That's a lot of fruit! I was excited to drink up all the goodness and get some of my fruit/veggie servings for the day. The smoothie is quite thick and tastes mostly like apple and kiwi. I definitely preferred this over the Amazing Mango because it was less sweet.

As always, Happy Eating!
