After our disappointing experience at Re-Up BBQ Food Cart, Yoshi, Rae, and I headed over to Mom's Grilled Cheese Truck to get something better. This time around, I KNOW the food will be good because I've visited Mom's Grilled Cheese truck before (post here) and it was extraordinary.

I heard their Roasted Tomato Soup is the bomb but I was too full at that point to get anything. Next time!!!
I got the Daily Special last time which consisted of sourdough bread, ham, cheese, bacon and I was very impressed by the outcome! Next time though, I think I'll stick with the Mom's Classics because I want to be able to taste just the cheese, and bread. No meat, no distractions.
As we were waiting in line, Cindy (the owner) put out fresh samples for people to try! I quickly grabbed a piece and oh god was it amazing!! I believe it was melted Cheddar on multigrain bread. The bread was crispy and perfectly grilled, while the cheese was unbelievably melty and hot despite the violent cold wind around us.
This is from the Mom's Classics ($5.50) menu and consists of Sourdough bread and spiced Gouda. It comes with a pickle wedge and homemade chips on the bottom of the 'cone' packaging.
The grilled cheese was amazing as always and definitely worth the long line-up every time.I can't wait to come here again next time I'm in downtown!!
