Lil Sis have always been raving about the nachos at
Foundations so one night we finally decided to go. Foundation looks super
sketch from the outside and is a local favourite of the hipsters.
When we first arrived, I was actually a bit intimidated by
all the hipsters. It sounds funny, but the crowd here was honestly very
different from what I am used to!
They have a lot of interesting quotes on the wall. It’s fun
to read if you get bored waiting for your food.
I absolutely loved their menu because everything sounded so
healthy and organic! We didn’t order any of their entrees but I wouldn’t
mind coming back again just to try it.
We were drinking from jam jars instead of glasses! So rad. :D
One of the things we really wanted to order was their Pitcher of Sangria. There were fruits
on the bottom and it reminded me of fruit cocktail.
The sangria wasn’t too heavy on the alcohol which I liked. I
definitely would recommend this sangria to all girls looking to socialize over
endless amounts of delicious cocktails.
Ta-da! The famous nachos
have arrived. We ordered a small but we totally should have ordered a large. Lil Sis did not believe the four of us could finish the large size but boy was
she wrong. We gobbled this up in no time and we were hungry for more!
Unfortunately, we thought that maybe this was a sign that we eat too much so we didn’t order more.
They were oh so generous with the cheese and almost every
single chip on the plate was covered with it. The toppings also include beans,
jalapenos, and corn.
The nachos come with sour cream and salsa at no extra
charge.
The guacamole was an extra two bucks but well worth it. I
wish they gave us more because it was gone in no time. :P
Overall, it’s a great place to chill with friends over
Sangria and the food is pretty good. Just make sure to wear your oversized
hipster glasses before entering. Haha :PJuusttt kidding. I love hipster jokes.
Overall Rating: 3/5
Happy Eating!
