When it comes to HK style cafes, my family has tried almost
every single one of them. One I have never tried until now is Copa Cafe. Copa Cafe is located on Cambie Street.
We went at 10am-ish and the places was virtually empty. The
seats are plush and comfy and the place is quite clean.
Their breakfast menu is pretty similar to all the other HK
style cafes out there. Price-wise, Flo in Richmond is
cheaper, but it’s not by much.
If I was a man and had a bigger appetite, I so would order
the House Special Combo and get the Rib Eye Steak & eggs. :D
Kirma ordered the Sausage
and Eggs ($4.75) which is served with toast and hot coffee/tea. I liked how
they give you a wedge of honeydew.
She ordered Hot Milk
Tea as her beverage and it was alright.
The Pork Chop with
Instant Noodles ($5.95) were pretty good. Kirbro liked it a lot.
I ordered the Preserved
Duck Egg and Salted Meat Congee ($6.95) and it comes with a side. I chose
the Steamed Rice Roll with Green Onion.
The congee was really good! Very
flavourful and definitely comfort food for the soul. :D
The steamed rice rolls were done pretty well which surprised
me because I had really low expectations. I don’t think they made the rice
rolls in house but they tasted pretty close to it.
Kirpa also wanted congee so he got the Chicken Congee with Soya Sauce Chow Mein ($6.95).
His chow mein was a bit oily but other than that, it’s
tasted okay.
Based on these reasons:
- average HK style cafe in terms of quality of food
- a bit pricier than other hk
- parking is at the back
